The successful Operations Manager is Responsible for ensuring Best in Class customer service through effectively managing the Operations Team, ensuring productivity is maximised and team members are working efficiently and to their full potential.

The role will involve:

• Ensure all Operators within the Operations team are working in compliance with UK regulations and procedures, including but not limited to Customs simplifications / security and safety, QMS requirements regarding the swift and accurate completion of shipments as well as working within the parameters of the AEO operating procedures and UK customs law.
• Monitor profitability of accounts and explore avenues to increase margins through additional sales of Value-Added Solutions
• Highlight, and implement where agreed, potential changes to operational practices to improve efficiency.
• Maintain and develop customer relationships alongside Customer Development Manager, Customer Solutions and OAM teams as well as any other relevant departments, to ensure service delivery excellence at all times.
• Organise and coordinate operations in ways that ensure that customer expectations are exceeded in the most efficient and productive manner as possible.
• Ensure key performance indicators are in place and service delivery targets are met
• Maintain appropriate systems for measuring operational performance, including KPIs.
• Highlight any areas of concern to the Customer Development Manager for review and improvement.
• Implementation and embedding of any process improvements / new processes and /or procedures.

To be successful in this role of Operations Manager we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

• Proven experience as an Operations Manager in the aviation / aerospace logistics industry, with evidence of leading high performing teams, developing business and commercial opportunities.
• Solid background in UK Customs law and procedures
• Have ability to develop Operations strategy and identify, coordinate and manage change initiatives.
• Ability to demonstrate exceptional organisational and planning skills.
• Be an excellent communicator with the ability to confidently and credibly engage and influence customers, partners and employees.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience of finance and budgetary controls.
