Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Surveyor to join our team on an ad hoc basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for visiting various sites to assess fire damage and write comprehensive specialist fire reports. This role requires flexibility, with assignments given as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct on-site assessments of fire-damaged buildings to determine the extent of damage and required repairs.
2. Prepare detailed and accurate specialist fire reports, including recommendations for remediation and safety improvements.
3. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide expert advice on fire safety and damage assessment.
4. Ensure all reports comply with current fire safety regulations and industry standards.
5. Maintain accurate records of assessments and reports, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
6. Provide expert witness services in legal and insurance matters related to fire damage, as required.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Building Surveyor, with a focus on fire damage assessment and reporting.
2. Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
6. Proficiency in using survey and reporting software.
