Our client is an ambitious broking organisation with strong growth plans and has an established broking placement team based across each of their sites, with the Deputy Broking and Markets Director position being based out of their Manchester office.

As the Deputy Broking and Markets Director, you will work closely and collaboratively with the Director in delivering group objectives whilst managing the broking requirements for Manchester and raising the profile of the business.

The position will provide a good split between Broking, Market Management and Leadership responsibilities. It is therefore important that you have supervisory and managerial experience as you will be responsible for overseeing a small team of people.

Any experienced Commercial Account Handlers who are keen to step into a Placement Broking/Market Facing role will be considered, though will still need to have managerial/supervisory experience.

Experience and Skills Required:

• A strong background and experience within commercial insurance broking, ideally within a market facing / placement broking role, though experienced and knowledgeable Account Handlers will be considered.
• Excellent relationships with carries and a strong market knowledge.
• Managerial experience is essential, with the ability to develop talent through supporting, coaching and mentoring.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to plan strategically.
