Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturing business who are looking for an Engineering Manager for their facility near Goole.

Salary - £55k

Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager the Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing the Engineering division consisting of 2 Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Planner and circa 20 Maintenance Engineers.

Duties of the Engineering Manager will include:

• Accountable for the prioritisation of engineering activities in a defined area of responsibility, ensuring that standards for health, safety and environment, quality, people and performance are delivered on a personal and team level.
• To support and develop a strategy with the Site Engineering Manager to meet/exceed KPIs in above areas by ensuring that business objectives are embedded at team level, engaging the ‘hearts and minds’ of the company’s employees to create and sustain a pro-active culture and drive a proactive approach to the prevention of equipment failure.
• Ensure all company policies and procedures are understood and adhered to
• Ensure that equipment is maintained to standard ensuring product can be consistently manufactured within tolerance
• Collaborate with other functions (Operations/Planning/SHE/Quality) to ensure that activities are organised to deliver against all performance metrics.
• Work with the Maintenance Supervisors to ensure that everyone has a workload to enable them to maximise and constantly improve equipment performance to meet/exceed target OEE

We would like to speak with Engineering Managers with the following:

• ONC or above in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Previous experience managing a large maintenance team
• Relevant and demonstrable experience within a heavy industry manufacturing environment would be advantageous
