We have an exciting opportunity for a Pathology Business Manager to join our pathology department.This role is based in our Pathology department at 116 Harley Street-London. We are offering a competitive salary of £53,842 per annum and a fantastic array or benefits.

Job Profile

The Pathology Business manager is responsible for supporting effective operations of the laboratory, to ensure the delivery of a high performing and high-quality service, centered on a client focused approach, collaborative partnerships and a positive working environment for staff.

  • Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.

  • Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm

  • Job Location: 116 Harley Street, London, W1G 6BW (Close to Regents Park/Baker St tube stations).

  • Salary: £53, 842 per annum

Key Duties

  • Responsible for the management of the pathology administration services (sample reception and the pathology clerical office) and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
  • Maintain day to day communication with management, staff and stakeholders across all pathology services.
  • Together with department leads, discuss the appropriate action/communication and contingency plans where services become compromised.
  • Manage timely data collection to achieve productivity targets, eliminate errors in process and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Monitor services running across internal/external sites through the use of IT statistical software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the Clinic in improving the patient pathways.
  • Work closely with external departments to ensure activities remain compliant.
  • Together with the pathology manager actively pursue and support strategic objectives, operational and budget plans.
