Christmas Warehouse OperativeThatcham£11.44-£14.65 per hourDay Shift (10:00-18:00)Night Shift (18:00-02:00)Pertemps are recruiting for day and night shift warehouse operatives for Gist in Thatcham.This position is temporary until the New Year, working full-time hours, five shifts from seven, inclusive of one weekend shift per week, and involved picking food orders for distribution to stores across the southern region.About the Warehouse Operative role:Picking food products using a voice pick system via a headsetBreaking down pallets of products and allocating goods to item locationsWorking in a chilled and ambient working environmentAchieving pick targets as set out by shift managementOther duties which may include heavy liftingThe successful Warehouse Operative will:Have a good attention to detailBe reliable and have a positive work ethicBe able to work under pressure to meet deadlinesBe punctual with excellent timekeeping and attendanceYou will ideally have some form of warehouse experience, however this is not essential, as full training will be providedMore about the role:Working hours are - Day shift 10:00-18:00 / Night shift 18:00-02:00Day shift pay rates:Monday to Friday £11.48 (Overtime £11.94) / Weekends £12.48 (Overtime £13.57)Night shift pay rates:Monday to Friday £12.48 (Overtime £13.57) / Weekends £13.56 (Overtime £14.65)Overtime paid after 40 hours per weekShift pattern: Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to SaturdayWeekly or monthly pay (you decide)Christmas bonus available, giving you the opportunity to earn up to an extra £800 in DecemberImmediate start availableStart dates every Tuesday until early DecemberFirst three shifts are training shifts:Day shift training shifts are 10:00-16:00Night shift training shifts are 18:00-22:00Training shifts are Tuesday, Wednesday & ThursdayDiscounted staff canteenFree parking and good transport linksPossibility of full-time/permanent contracts for the right candidatesFor more information and to apply, please submit your up-to-date CV, or contact Charlie in the Pertemps Didcot office.
