Contek Recruitment are currently working with a a leading manufacturer, specializing in the manufacture and service of special purpose machinery, including deburring and surface finishing equipment, along with machinery such as shot blasters, water treatment, and other automated machinery.
Our client service a wide range of industries, including Aerospace, Medical, Automotive, Hospitality, and General Engineering. Our client are headquartered in Tile Hill, Coventry in the West Midlands.
Position Overview:
Due to company growth, our client are seeking an experienced Quality Inspection Team Leader to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role would primarily involve overseeing the compaies quality department, as well as the visual and hands-on inspection of finished parts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the quality department.
* Overseeing a small inspection team, offering support to Quality Inspectors.
* Inspects for defects (visually and utilising digital and manual tooling where required).
* Examining and feeling surface of metal to detect defects, such as dents, scratches, or breaks in the metal.
* Compiling documentation.
* Support and maintain process improvement, process control, Lean 5S and agile activities.
* Utilisation and recording data from NDT tooling.
* Utilisation and recording data from CMM.
* Ensure external customer satisfaction at all times.
* Driving forward Company capabilities with its manufacturing processes (quality, productivity, safety and customer service).
* Daily inventory checking and stocking of consumables.
Requirements:
* Previous inspection experience is required.
* Previous Team Leader/Supervisor experience is required.
* CMM (is an advantage).
* NDT inspection experience (is an advantage).
* Punctual & reliable
* Keen to learn and reflects a high self-initiative to excel in the job
