Planning Consultant

📍St Helens, Liverpool.

We have an exciting opportunity within a Planning Team at the front-end of energy generation projects. HB Recruit are excited by the recent growth and diversification of energy projects, and this is a good opportunity to join an ambitious team that will provide you with plenty of scope for career progression in the coming years.

The successful candidate will work within the Development Team, working on a diverse range of renewable energy projects.

The main duties will consist of:

* Preparation of planning reports and other written material to support the delivery of projects

* Conducting site reviews and appraisals

* Organise and coordinate with various external bodies (i.e., planners, consultants, local councils)

* Attendance and contribution at meetings with project teams, planning authorities, and stakeholders

* Managing project budgets and external appointments on projects they manage

* Liaising with residents and politicians at community consultation events

Skills / Qualifications:

* Degree qualified and working towards Town Planner chartership

* Demonstrable experience as a Town/Environmental Planner

* Knowledge and experience in preparing planning applications

* 2-4 years of experience

* Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills

* The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team

* A meticulous eye for detail and a drive to deliver high-quality work

* Able to consistently deliver high-quality planning work and meeting performance targets

* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

* Passion for renewable energy

* Full driving license required
