Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant – Lambeth - Immediate

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is looking for a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with pupils, helping them develop confidence and achieve their full potential in a nurturing learning environment.

The school is committed to providing a stimulating and engaging education for all students. They are seeking a patient, proactive, and enthusiastic individual who can offer tailored support to pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and challenging behaviours.

Role Details:

  • Position: Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant

  • Salary: £103 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted academic support to individuals and small groups to enhance learning.
  • Assist teachers in preparing lesson materials and classroom activities.
  • Support pupils in developing literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Foster positive social interactions and encourage cooperative learning.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour using positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers to support tailored instruction.
  • Assist in creating a stimulating and engaging classroom environment.
  • Support children with transitions between activities and throughout the school day.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience working in a school and SEN setting.
  • Ability to support children with SEN and challenging behaviours.
  • A positive, energetic, and supportive approach to engaging pupils.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, working collaboratively with staff.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
  • The ability to adapt and be flexible in supporting a variety of learning needs.
