About the Role

We are seeking a talented and driven Associate Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic team in London, focusing on data centre construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong construction background looking to take the next step in their career by working on high-profile, technically advanced projects.

As an Associate Construction Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of large-scale data centre projects, working closely with senior project managers and project teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination and Support:

Assist in the day-to-day management of data centre construction projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
Support senior project managers in planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities across multiple project phases.
Track and update project milestones, schedules, and deliverables.

Stakeholder and Team Management:

Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, and consultants to ensure project requirements are met.
Help facilitate communication between all stakeholders, ensuring smooth collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist with resource allocation, ensuring that project teams are well-equipped to meet deadlines.

Cost and Budget Management:

Assist with the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, tracking expenditures, and identifying potential cost savings.
Support senior project managers with financial reporting, including cost forecasts and change orders.
Monitor and report on project costs, ensuring projects are delivered within budget.

Site and Construction Management:

Attend site meetings and visit construction sites regularly to monitor progress, safety, and quality of work.
Ensure all construction activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Identify any issues on-site and help resolve them promptly, maintaining continuous workflow.

Quality Control and Documentation:

Assist with maintaining high-quality construction standards, ensuring work meets client specifications.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, change orders, and meeting minutes.
Support the preparation of project reports, schedules, and documentation for stakeholders.

Risk Management and Compliance:

Identify potential risks or delays in the project and assist in developing strategies to mitigate them.
Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with relevant regulations and health and safety standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in construction project management, with some exposure to data centres or large-scale commercial projects.
Understanding of construction processes, project scheduling, cost control, and construction contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT).
Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
