Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in the Retford area?
Academics is currently seeking dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistants to support primary-aged children with special educational needs. Working in both 1:1 and group settings, you will play a vital role in helping children who require additional support to succeed in school.
Key Responsibilities - Provide tailored support to children with a variety of special educational needs, both on a one-to-one basis and within small groups.
- Confidently manage challenging behaviours and use de-escalation techniques where necessary.
- Create a safe, positive learning environment where children feel supported and motivated.
Qualifications and Requirements - Experience working within an SEN setting or in mainstream education with children who have special educational needs is essential.
- Team Teach training is desirable but not required.
- Enhanced DBS Check required (or willingness to process one before starting).
- A Cache Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning is preferrable.
Working Hours We have multiple SEN Teaching Assistant roles available, including both short-term and long-term positions. Standard hours are 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, though part-time options, such as mornings only (ending at 12:30 pm), are also available to fit around other commitments.
