Currently operating as a Slug & Lettuce Managed House this is the first time that this site has become available for a Tenancy Agreement and really is an opportunity not to be missed!

This iconic high street venue in the heart George Lane South Woodford is a great open plan space which is perfect for creating both a high energy night-time entertainment vibe yet also a lower key daytime environment great for getting a drink and bite to eat with friends. The bar was refurbished recently and has a “nice feel” when you visit which whilst partially due to the décor, furnishings, lighting and sound is also due to the care that is taken by the team for the customer experience.

The premises open at 12noon and benefit from a 2am license for Friday and Saturday nights. The layout comfortably seats approx. 120 people across its mix of fixed booths, button back sofas, high stools and bar tables with room for dancing and socialising. The venue is licensed for a maximum capacity of 300. Current activity is focused on a weekend DJ along with occasional themed events and promotional offers.

A large 12 meter long bar runs down the left-hand side of the venue, also on the ground floor is a fully fitted trade kitchen, beer cellar and accessible customer toilet. On the first floor are the customer toilets along with staff facilities, an office and access to the private accommodation. At the front there is a great double fronted terrace which seats approx. 40 and at the rear there is a courtyard which seats approx. 30 people.

Surrounding Area

The bar is just 400meters from the zone4 South Woodford Underground Station which is served by the Central Line making it just 20mins into central London, it is also just on the edge of the A406 North Circular Road. With its amazing transports links this is a great East London suburb to live and work in benefiting from easy access into Central London with all it has to offer and giving access to be able to escape to rural Essex.

George Lane itself is a busy and vibrant street with a wide variety of independent and branded hospitality and retail units - it is an interesting area to be!
