We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teacher for a highly reputable SEN school in Barking and Dagenham. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children with SEN and will be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
* Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, carers, and other professionals.
* Assess and monitor students' progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social and emotional development.
* Work closely with support staff, therapists, and other specialists to ensure a holistic approach to each child's education.
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on progress and involving them in their child's learning journey.
* Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in SEN education.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a recognized teaching qualification.
* Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
* Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and effective teaching strategies.
