Business Analyst: Utilities
Salary: £60,000-£70,000 per annum
Location: Reading, UK (1 day per week on-site)
My client, a leading Data and AI consultancy, is seeking a Business Analyst with at least 3 years of experience in digital projects. This role is ideal for professionals with a solid foundation in both Business and Data Analysis, particularly those with experience in the utilities sector, who can leverage data to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Discovery Projects: Participate in 2-6 week strategic projects at new clients or in unfamiliar domains, focusing on understanding problems and creating digital solutions.
- Strategic Support: Contribute to business strategy, support client engagements, and assist in business development, including RFP responses.
- Agile Development: Join cross-functional development squads, aiding in backlog management, sprint planning, and continuous discovery processes.
Key Skills:
- A strong background in the utilities industry, with an understanding of its unique challenges and regulatory environment.
- Proven ability to gather, analyse, and document business requirements, with a focus on creating actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of data analysis techniques, and the ability to interpret and utilize data to improve business outcomes.
- Experience working in Agile environments, with a solid understanding of Scrum, sprint planning, and backlog management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in writing user stories, performing user acceptance testing, and facilitating feedback loops.
- Familiarity with technical architecture, process mapping, and data source identification.
