As demand grows, they are seeking an IT Manager.
The IT Manager will be responsible for managing the company's IT systems, networks, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role involves leading a small IT team, managing third-party vendors, and delivering IT solutions that support business objectives. You will collaborate closely with other departments to drive technology initiatives and ensure that all systems meet both current and future needs.
Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure:
* Manage and maintain servers, networks, hardware, and software to ensure stability, security, and scalability.
* Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime.
* Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
Technical Support:
* Provide timely IT support to staff, ensuring issues are resolved within agreed SLAs.
* Manage and resolve day-to-day technical issues effectively.
IT Strategy & Planning:
* Lead digital transformation projects, including cloud migration, automation, and system upgrades.
* Stay updated on technology trends, driving innovative solutions for operational efficiency.
* Execute and refine the company's IT strategy.
Security & Compliance:
* Ensure robust cybersecurity measures (firewalls, antivirus, encryption) and regular system updates.
* Maintain compliance with relevant regulations, including GDPR, and enforce data privacy protocols.
Vendor Management:
* Oversee relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
* Negotiate contracts, manage procurement, and control IT budgets efficiently.
* Ensure vendor solutions meet company standards and needs.
Key Requirements
* Proven IT management experience, preferably in an SME environment.
* Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure management, including servers, networks, hardware, and software.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure and Microsoft 365.
* Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Key Skills
* Proficient in Windows and Linux environments, network administration, and Office 365 (advantageous).
* Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
* Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical staff.
* Hands-on expertise in IT security, including antivirus, data loss prevention, and backups. Knowledge of NIST 800 and Cyber Essentials is a plus
