We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with London Underground (LU) experience to join an established client on a contract basis working on station upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing mechanical designs for station upgrades within the London Underground network
Conducting feasibility studies and technical analyses to support design decisions
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project requirements are met
Producing detailed engineering drawings and documentation
Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and regulations
Participating in site visits and inspections as necessary
Providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge on industry trends and technologies

Job Requirements:

Experience in mechanical engineering, specifically within the rail sector
Proven ability to develop mechanical designs for station upgrades
Knowledge of London Underground standards and regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in using engineering design software
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
