This role involves developing custom interconnection solutions for critical sectors such as aerospace, medical, defense, and industrial markets. The Mechanical Design Engineer's responsibilities include:

* Work with sales on new engineering opportunities and assess feasibility

* Oversee the entire NPI lifecycle from concept to manufacturing

* Create NPI quotes and contribute to strategic product planning

* Prepare manufacturing specs, technical drawings, and manage ERP documentation

* Lead technical discussions to align project requirements

* Ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and safety policies

The Mechanical Design Engineer's education, experience and skills:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field preferred

* Proven experience in new product development, project management, and small-scale manufacturing operations

* Proficiency with CAD models, project management tools, and techniques; strong understanding of technical drawings for manufacturing

* Excellent adaptability, customer focus, and collaboration skills
