Our current focus is on a major hospital revamp scheme in Shropshire, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Services Manager to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Building Services Manager, you will be responsible for the management of Building Services, including mechanical, electrical, and public health systems. This role involves managing the off-site design process for Stage 1 and 2 tenders, commencing at RIBA Stage 2 or 3 - Concept or Developed Design, and managing the on-site design process at RIBA Stage 4 and 5 - Technical Design and Construction, in accordance with Design Management processes and procedures. Additionally, you will provide technical support to on-site construction activities to maintain quality benchmarks and assist the Design Manager in specific tasks and responsibilities. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary between £59,000 and £65,000, plus an excellent package.

Key Responsibilities:

* Building Services Management: Oversee and manage the mechanical, electrical, and public health systems for the project.

* Design Management: Manage the off-site design process for Stage 1 and 2 tenders, starting from RIBA Stage 2 or 3 - Concept or Developed Design.

* On-Site Design Management: Manage the on-site design process at RIBA Stage 4 and 5 - Technical Design and Construction.

* Technical Support: Provide technical support to on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks.

* Process Adherence: Implement and maintain Design Management processes and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

* Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions.

* Problem Solving: Identify and resolve building services-related issues promptly, minimizing impact on project timelines and budgets.

* Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on building services design and implementation to senior management and stakeholders.

* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of design changes, decisions, and approvals.

* Team Support: Assist the Design Manager in the discharge of specific tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements:

* Qualifications: A degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Chartered status or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.

* Experience: A minimum of 8 years' experience in building services management, with significant exposure to healthcare or hospital projects.

* Skills: Strong project management, technical, and coordination skills. Proficiency in relevant design and project management software.

* Knowledge: In-depth understanding of RIBA stages, building services design processes, and construction techniques.

* Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
