Role Responsibilities - Managing a portfolio of personal and trust tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals and more complex cases
- Reviewing self-assessment tax returns and compliance work prepared by junior colleagues
- Providing clients with proactive and strategic tax advice, tailored to their personal financial situations
- Assisting with the day-to-day management of the personal tax team, ensuring efficiency and quality control
- Supporting and mentoring less experienced team members, offering guidance and technical training
- Researching and preparing private client and employment tax advice
- Collaborating with senior leadership and other departments to enhance client service delivery
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the tax team

Candidate Requirements - CTA qualified or qualified by experience
- At least four years of post-qualification experience in Personal Tax
- Strong technical knowledge of personal tax compliance and advisory work
- Excellent relationship management skills, with a client-centric approach
- Strong time management and organisational abilities, ensuring deadlines are met efficiently
- A commercial mindset, with the ability to identify tax planning opportunities for clients
- Experience in supervising and mentoring junior tax professionals
- Some advisory experience (preferred but not essential)
- Exposure to other areas of tax (beneficial but not required)
