Job Purpose |
Working as part of a busy warehouse team, you will be responsible for all transportation of waste materials and the operation of recycling equipment in a safe manner, incoming and outgoing stock movements, ensuring that products are reliably tracked, stored and shipped on-time and in accordance with Good Distribution Practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). |
Main Responsibilities & Duties |
- Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
- Driving a Lorry Between Romford and Brentwood
- Operating waste recycling machinery such as compactor and baler in a safe manner
- Able to be on their feet all day + carry out repetitive heavy lifting
- Abiding by current road transport regulations and laws
- Maintaining a safe and clean vehicle
- Reporting of any vehicle defects to Management
- Checking for damaged or missing items for onward storage in the warehouse
- Keeping an accurate record of the stock on the ERP system (SAP)
- Operating a forklift truck to move and rearrange stock and ensure that products are stored safely
- Picking orders using a hand-held scanner and prepare for packing and onward distribution
- To assist with stock control and inventory procedures to maximise availability and minimise waste
- To ensure the safe and appropriate storage of medicines including environmental controls
- Providing timely and accurate delivery of outputs
- Maintain good knowledge of relevant governance, SOPs and ways of working
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of housekeeping and cleanliness in the area in compliance with Good Manufacturing (GMP) and Good Distribution (GDP) Practice
