We are seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to join our team and support our client in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabricating, assembling, and installing ship structures and components.Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret technical drawings.
• Assemble and install parts and structures on ships, including hulls, decks, and bulkheads.
• Perform welding and other fabrication duties as required.
• Maintain and repair shipbuilding tools and equipment.
• Coordinate with other shipbuilding specialists to ensure timely project completion.
• Document work progress and report any issues or delays to supervisors.

Requirements:

• Must be eligible for SC check
• An NVQ level 3 or trade papers
• Proven experience as a marine fitter or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of shipbuilding processes and safety standards.
• Proficiency in welding and other fabrication techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Hours    : minimum of 36 hours per weekRate       : £39 per hour
