Senior Insurance Administrator - ReinsuranceEC3, London / Hybrid (3 days in the office per week) - WFH / Remote working£45,000 - £55,000 plus excellent benefits including generous pension, private medical, dental, rising holiday, up to 30 days holiday, rising and lots more.

My client is a global reinsurance provider who offers a structured career path, generous staff benefits and a supportive working environment. Due to expansion, they are looking for a proactive individual with experience in insurance accounting and underwriting to join their international insurance business. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the administration of insurance / reinsurance accounts and contracts.

Senior Insurance Administrator - Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining contractual data. Checking contractual terms and conditions and liaising with underwriters to draw their attention to ambiguities and changes.
  • Clarifying discrepancies of accounts and claims with underwriters / claims experts / cedents and brokers.
  • Processing the insurance / reinsurance account bookings.
  • Managing cashflow including setting up client bank accounts in the accounting system, processing outgoing / incoming payments and following up on pending payments and open balances.
  • Claims handling.
  • Monitoring client accounts by using and generating internal reports and performing data analysis.
  • Compliance management, ensuring compliance with sanctions and embargos and forwarding information for further investigation as required.
  • Ensuring completeness and filing of underwriting, claims and accounting documentation in the Document Management System.
  • Supporting underwriters in administrative activities related to underwriting processes.

Senior Insurance Administrator - Over to You! The successful Senior Insurance Administrator will have;

  • Experience of working in the Insurance / reinsurance sector providing accounting and underwriting administration.
  • Experience of Marine or Energy Insurance is highly desirable.
  • Advanced analytical skills and accuracy.
  • Experience of using reporting tools (Business Objects / Power BI / Tableau) etc.
  • Advanced MS Office Skills including Excel and Power Query.
  • Team player, proficient in collaborating with internal and external team members and stakeholders.
