A new exciting opportunity has become available for a Cloud & Infrastructure Manager, working with a UK leading charity, to lead the management of cloud and on-premises infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, scalability, and security for our applications and data, aligning the cloud & infrastructure strategy within the overall business objectives.

• Lead the implementation of the cloud & infrastructure roadmap.
• Ensure the availability and reliability of critical infrastructure and services running both on-prem and in the cloud.
• Optimize the cost and performance of the cloud environment.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, innovation, and best practices.
• Identify and implement new technologies that contribute to the organization’s digital strategy.
• Manage the cloud environment, ensuring security, compliance, and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Manage the provision of cloud resources, including compute, storage, and network resources.
• Automate tasks to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures related to cloud usage.
• Stay up to date on the latest cloud technologies and best practices.
• Develop and mentor a team of cloud & infrastructure engineers and support staff.
• Report on infrastructure metrics to senior management.

• Solid leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team of IT professionals and collaborate with business stakeholders.
• Proven experience in managing and provisioning infrastructure.
• Proven experience in network infrastructure.
• Excellent technical skills and knowledge of various operating systems, software platforms, and integration methods.
• Experience with cloud-based applications and familiarity with security best practices.
• Experience working with Microsoft azure cloud and on-premises infrastructure. 
• Strong understanding of infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Chef, etc.).
• Experience in implementing and maintaining security best practices.
