Job Title: Business Development Manager - Electronic Components

Sector: Lighting, Electronic, Manufacturing, OEM, Electrical Connectors, Terminal Blocks, Surface Mount PCB Connectors and Transformers

Area to be covered: South - ideally based South East

Remuneration: £50,000 neg. + £9,000-£10,000 commission

The role of the Area Sales Manager - Electronic Components will involve:

* Technical field sales position promoting a vast range of electrical components including terminal blocks and connectors

* Targeting the OEM and manufacturing sector

* Selling into Technical Managers, Developments Managers, Purchasing Managers, Managing Directors etc.

* Circa (Apply online only) active customers on the area over the last 18 months

* 85% account developments role, huge amount of repeat orders

* £1.1m revenue responsibility

* Transactional sell, average order value £500-£600

* Calling on the top 70-80 customers regularly

* Typically 12-15 customer visits per day

* Coving Birmingham South, but 70% of customers are South East based

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Electronic Components with:

* Must have OEM/ manufacturing field sales experience

* Open to most electrical field sales backgrounds

* Comfortable with a transactional/ regular sales process

* Technical competent

* 3-5 years proven track record in field sales

* Ideally working for a manufacturer

* Autonomous in nature

* Excellent work ethic/ goals driven

* Ideally have electrical / mechanical qualifications or related experience

* Highly organised and capable

* IT Literate
