Summary of Responsibilities

• Ensure all management accounting and monthly reporting is completed in accordance with group instruction and applicable deadlines
• Analyse monthly management accounting results and present to Senior Management, including the Finance Director
• Review and perform internal finance controls, such as balance sheet reconciliations, and permanent supervision controls as required
• Setting and reviewing of both team and personal objectives for the ALD Management Accounting team, in line with business needs
• Recruit, train, motivate, engage, manage and retain team members by line managerial responsibility for the Management Accounting team
• Support Head of Accounting & Reporting with ad hoc project work

Skills & Experience required

• Qualified Chartered (ICAEW, ICAS, CIMA) or Certified (ACCA) Accountant
• Previous people management experience
• Competent user of Microsoft Excel (comfortable with pivot tables, nested formulas, key functions including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF, SUMIF, SUMPRODUCT etc.)
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently, asking for support or input from line manager and colleagues wherever required
• Experience in managing and communicating with a range of stakeholders
• Appetite to further develop technical accounting and industry knowledge
• Develops others by sharing own experience and expertise

In exchange the annual salary offered is between £40,000-£55,000 dependent on experience
