Control Systems Hardware Design Engineering Manager who has experience in system integration with the ability to understand and produce control system design documents and lead a team of Engineers is required to join us at Eltek Systems, one of the leading independent providers of industrial process and automation solutions.

SALARY: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Benefits

LOCATION: Hybrid Working from Home and the Office in Oundle, Northamptonshire, East Midlands (Candidates must live within a commutable distance to Oundle)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Control Systems Hardware Design Engineering Manager who has experience in system integration with the ability to understand and produce control system design documents and lead a team of Engineers.

Working as the Control Systems Hardware Design Engineering Manager you will lead and coordinate a team of Engineers to deliver hardware design and build for control system and safety projects, on time, on budget and the required standards.

As the Control Systems Hardware Design Engineering Manager you will need previous industry experience in system integrations and a high level of ability to produce control system design documents.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Control Systems Hardware Design Engineering Manager include:

* Lead and support the welfare of their team, ensuring everyone is working towards the same objectives

* Line management responsibility for the members of their team, including production of training and personal development plans, appraisals and ensuring the Engineering and Design Team are contributing towards and achieving the internal and external Stakeholder requirements, in a timely and compliant way

* Develop and enhance the Team structure in line with resourcing and business needs

* Generation and management of internal standards and procedures and ensuring their correct use within the business

* Monitoring of national and international standards to ensure that business standards and procedures remain current

* Ensure successful interaction between different teams within the business to ensure that the goals of the business are met

* Coordination of resource within their team to maintain the required level of support for the project managers

* Ensure resolutions of issues of work priority

* Delivery of projects on time, in budget and to the agreed specifications through task and engineering process management relating to themselves and the members of their team

* Leading the drive in the department to improve Quality Systems and Standards, ensuring that the operation is consistent in its approach to the Quality System

* Design and testing of control systems in accordance with agreed specifications, applicable standards and legislative requirements

* Ensure that all-relevant Health and Safety Procedures are adhered to

* Maintain company records and ensure the safe operation of all equipment to comply with current legislative and company standards

* Develop and implement new procedures

* Resource planning and coordination of the Team for current and future projects, ensuring coordination with internal Stakeholders and departments

* Member of the Senior Leadership Team with contribution to meetings to agree decisions on short term, medium term, and strategic objectives, including supporting the production of the 3 year Shared Strategic Plan and KPI's resulting on these

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

* Qualified to HNC / HND / Degree level in a relevant discipline with experience in system integration or in-depth experience in system integration

* High level of ability to understand and produce control system design documents

* Relevant technical qualifications required by specialism

* Demonstrate technical and commercial experience gained in a wide range of relevant market sectors and technologies

* Ability in the leadership of teams

* Good communication and interpersonal skills with willingness to take on new skills & knowledge

* Good time management skills and be able to demonstrate a structured and methodical approach to workload

* Right first-time approach to all aspects of work

* Willing to seek appropriate assistance when required

* A highly self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with good team working skills

* Good aptitude to learn from and influence others with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels is essential

* Ability to balance own objectives with those of the company's and other employees

* Maintain a professional appearance and approach to colleagues and customers

* Willingness to undertake further professional qualifications
