We are on the lookout for an Accountant to join an exciting organisation dedicated to promoting fitness and wellness in the community. We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial transactions and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of the organisation. This includes overseeing multiple accounting functions such as accounts payable and receivable, and financial reporting etc. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of financial principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage finances for multiple small companies within the group including VAT and other crucial submissions.
Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Provide valuable financial insights to the CEO to influence better business decisions.
Take charge of contracts and manager any key administrative processes.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
Maintain internal controls and compliance with financial regulations.
Handle additional financial tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Fully qualified or qualified by experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software Xero and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
