EARLY CAREER TEACHER Salary £30,000 - £41,000

Main purposes of the job

To provide a high quality educational experience for all children by leading learning in school, developing consistent practice in teaching and learning and ensuring that children achieve the highest standards of attainment and achievement. Children are expected to make rapid and sustained progress. The teacher will contribute to the schools strategic planning documentation (SIP), supporting the ethos, aims and vision of the school in accordance with the five outcomes in Every Child Matters:

● Be healthy

● Stay safe

● Enjoy and achieve make a positive contribution

● Achieve economic well-being

General responsibilities

● Carry out the duties and responsibilities for class teachers as detailed in the current Pay and Conditions of Service

● Document and meet the requirements of the Teaching Standards.

NURSERY MANAGER Salary £25,000 - £33,000

To lead learning in the EYFS and Wraparound Care and guide staff in developing consistent practice in provision and learning, ensuring high quality learning opportunities, pastoral care, safeguarding and behaviour through the management of the Early Years so that all children achieve the highest standards of welfare, attainment and achievement

In liaison with the EYFS Assistant Headteacher :

● The Nursery Manager will be expected to provide high quality, flexible childcare for families from the local communities aligned to all EYFS expectations.

● Lead and deliver in liaison with the Assistant Head a balanced and high-quality appropriate curriculum programme within all of the Nursery settings and Wraparound programmes, which takes account of the educational and social needs of pupils in the context of a primary school in line with the expectations set out by the Lion Academy Trust.

● The Nursery Manager will oversee the operation of the day nursery to the highest standards, ensuring that the best possible environment and care are provided for young children.

● Be responsible for the management and oversight of booking and allocating Nursery places, admissions process and funding.

EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER Salary £24,000 - £26.000

To provide service delivery within the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, Every Child Matters and Ofsted Care Standards.

To work in partnership and complementary to the Nursery, Reception teacher or lead professional, in order to help meet the aims of the School. The Nursery, Reception Teacher or Lead Professionals are responsible for planning the overall policy and curriculum, and the Early Years Practitioners are given some responsibility for planning part of the programme and are to play a full part in its implementation.

To develop a supportive and caring relationship with the children, providing care and attention to the children's personal needs, undertaking activities necessary to meet the physical, emotional and education requirements of individuals or groups. This will require knowledge of a range of strategies and a high level of skills developed through experience
