Building & Civils Supervisor - SC / DV Cleared

A global mechanical, electrical construction, and building services company is looking for multiple B&C Supervisors to join a growing team to provide a professional and efficient service to the project management team in the delivery of new work tasks.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Monitor the progress of projects and minor works to an agreed time and standard of delivery, ensuring works are completed to the satisfaction of the customer and regulatory authorities.

• Deliver projects and minor works through effective communication, ensuring that the staff members are fully competent and trained to undertake key tasks.

• Monitor the safety performance of all service aspects, identifying areas for improvement.

• Manage the preparation and submission for approval, of all appropriate Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessment.

• Maintain day to day contact with the customer, attending meetings as necessary.

• Support the Project Manager, providing information necessary to establish financial completion of accounts.

• Identify and implement operational improvements to ensure continued provision of high-quality service.

• Co-ordinate labour, plant and materials necessary to complete the task safely and in a timely fashion.

• Supervise, co-ordinate and/or manage Specialist Sub-Contractors as required.

• Provide CDM Management.

Candidate Profile:

• To have a minimum engineering qualification of NVQ Level 4 or equivalent

• Good knowledge of management disciplines in Building and Civil Works

• Experience in a supervisory environment with Building and Civil Works as a component responsibility

• Be commercially aware and have a sound knowledge of budget preparation, negotiation and management

• Be resilient under pressure and be able to converse confidently with staff, suppliers and customers at all levels
