Development Manager, up to 45K, LondonReports To: Associate DirectorKey Responsibilities:The Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing the effective and efficient management of assigned developments. By coordinating and utilising available resources, including staff and contractors, this role ensures the delivery of high-quality service aligned with management contracts, tenancy agreements, and service-level agreements.Asset Management and Mobilisation Support: Facilitate the mobilisation process by coordinating with key stakeholders as clients, other agents, the new business team, client relationship team, and internal staff.Complete and document mobilisation tasks meticulously within relevant systems.Delegate tasks as appropriate to enhance the customer experience through efficient and timely service delivery.Track mobilisation metrics and propose actions for improvement.Risk and Planned Preventive Maintenance Management (PPM): Take ownership of risk and PPM management routines to guarantee compliance through established systems.Collaborate with the client relationship team, contractors, and customers to perform regular risk assessments.Maintain an accurate audit trail of actions and certifications within the system.Monitor and report on compliance levels, identifying areas for improvement.Contract Management
- Oversee the contract management routines for developments, ensuring the correct contracts are procured and implemented.
- Coordinate with the client relationship team and contractors to maintain complete and accurate contract schedules.
- Support contract tendering processes to ensure value for money.
- Record all relevant information within the system and schedule follow-up actions as needed.
Team Management
- Focus on team engagement to cultivate a highly motivated team dedicated to exceptional service.
- Ensure continuous coverage for the development, including arrangements for sick leave and holidays.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, annual appraisals, and manage overall team performance.
- Partner with HR to handle payroll, recruitment, and grievance processes.
- Confirm that all team members complete required training, including any necessary refreshers.
This role requires a strong focus on attention to detail, innovation, and teamwork will be key to success in this position.Customer Service
- Act as an ambassador for the organisation, delivering excellent customer service in every interaction
- To support the Development Manager in planning, organising and budgeting of Community Events
- Communicate with clients in an enthusiastic and empathetic manner.
- Respond promptly to any complaints, seeking team support when necessary.
- To promote a culture of high customer service standards within the team.
Health & Safety
- Prioritise health and safety for employees, clients, and visitors.
- Utilise technology to manage and improve safety routines.
- Embrace a meticulous approach to safety, including thorough tracking, inspection, and continuous improvement.
Financial ManagementSupport the broader team with financial management of the development, remaining aware of budgets and requesting information as needed.Compliance:Ensure compliance with organisational policies, especially regarding data protection, and the secure storage, processing, and handling of sensitive information.
