About the Role:

Our key client is seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join our team as a Deputy Medical Engineering Manager. This key role will support and deputise for the Medical Engineering Manager in the operational delivery and performance management of the Medical Engineering team, covering a broad range of high-value and complex Radiology and Radiotherapy equipment including CT scanners and Linear Accelerators.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operational Management:

* Support day-to-day operations of the Medical Engineering contract, ensuring service continuity and equipment availability.

* Coordinate and manage planned preventative maintenance schedules, equipment upgrades, and replacements in collaboration with service providers and suppliers.

* Ensure service delivery meets all contractual performance standards and service level agreements (SLAs).

* Respond to and resolve operational challenges to minimise downtime and disruption.

* Procurement Support:

* Assist in the procurement and replacement of large-scale medical equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations and contractual obligations.

* Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

* Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of supplier performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs.

* Maintain accurate records and produce reports to support performance reviews and audits.

Person Specification:

* Experience managing or supporting large-scale contracts, ideally within Medical Engineering, healthcare, or a clinical/technical environment.

* A clinical background is advantageous.

* Strong knowledge of medical equipment maintenance, including understanding of maintenance schedules, equipment compliance, and service delivery in regulated environments.

* Excellent communication and organisational skills.

* Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and service partners.
