What you'll be doing:

As the Contract ECO Manager for the South London Waste Partnership, you will lead the Education, Communications, and Outreach function to ensure strategic project plans are met. Your role involves developing community engagement initiatives aimed at transforming resident behaviours and enhancing recycling rates. You will manage the project budget, timelines, and quality, working closely with the Area ECO Manager and Officers.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients and the site management team, overseeing the team's daily operations. Identifying and sharing positive news stories with the regional digital and PR team will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that regional and contract objectives are met. Staying updated on industry trends and fostering strong relationships with clients and colleagues across the contract will be crucial.

In addition, you will coach and mentor ECO Officers, driving their performance and supporting their professional development.

What we're looking for:
  • Project Development and Management: Proven experience in contributing to and executing strategies that support company objectives.
  • People and Budget Management: Experience in managing projects, including oversight of budgets and timelines, even if not in a direct line management capacity.
  • Behavior Change and Community Engagement: Experience in implementing techniques that drive behavior change and community engagement, with the ability to analyze and report on outcomes.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Strong track record in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships and managing customer interactions.
  • Digital Communications Proficiency: Understanding of PR, social media, social advertising, and digital communications.
  • Local Authority Experience: Knowledge or experience in working with local authorities is advantageous.
  • Educational Background: Degree-level education or equivalent in a relevant field, or significant related experience.
  • Driving Licence: A full clean UK driving licence is required.
