There is an immediate requirement for a Toolmaker to join a successful, Redditch based manufacturing company. The role will require the candidate to be responsible for manufacturing all tooling to engineering drawings for a variety of high industry aerospace customers across the UK.

Main Responsibilities of the Toolmaker:
*Manufacture extrusion, mould and finish dies from raw materials
*Eradicating process variability and implementing robust controls (NPI)
*Provide manual milling and surface grinding
*Manufacture single-stage clip tools
*Service and repair (PPM)
*Ensuring the quality of parts

Key Technical/Professional Competencies:
*Apprentice trained time served toolmaker (or 5 years' experience in a toolroom).
*Experience within a hot metal, heavy manufacturing environment, preferably producing aerospace/automotive products would be desired.
*Strong working knowledge of engineering drawings.
*Strong understanding of measuring equipment (Micrometres, height gauges understanding both imperial and metric)
*Knowledge and experience operating CNC machine tools
