Sports Coach - The Role

For this role, we are looking for an energetic and friendly Sports Coach who is keen to assist in the delivery and development of an effective sports coaching programme. The ideal Sports Coach must have prior experience with primary aged children. However, primary school experience is not essential. The successful Sports Coach must have a genuine passion, knowledge and experience of sports as well as to be able to coach sports to all year groups within primary. A coaching qualification (or a willingness to gain one) in either football, hockey, and/or cricket is essential. This role requires full-time commitment on a long-term basis. As part of this position, you must be willing to support SEN pupils within the classroom.

Sports Coach - The School

This mainstream primary school is in the London Borough of Southwark that is proud of their exceptionally “good” Ofsted review. It is a two-form entry school that boasts recently refurbished facilities, which includes the P.E grounds. Due to its location, the school has a special atmosphere. Children are at the very heart of everything the school do and they have been commended on the behaviour across the year groups.

In light of their glowing Ofsted review, the school is looking to continue their successful journey and take on an ambitious Sports Coach who will work hard to promote a love of Sports within all children. The role will focus on inspiring, motivating and supporting the children in their sporting development.
