Our client a leading provider of power solutions, known for delivering innovative services to clients across the rental and Hire sectors. Their portfolio includes rental equipment, application solutions, and specialised support services designed to meet complex power needs. They are expanding rapidly and looking for a senior leader to join our team, drive business growth, and contribute to our strategic vision.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in driving business expansion, leveraging your industry expertise and established network to bring high-value clients to their portfolio. Key Responsibilities:

* Strategic Growth: Identify and secure new business opportunities, focusing on high-value clients and projects that align with our strategic goals.

* Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Leverage your network to build and maintain a portfolio of long-term, high-value client accounts.

* Brand Expansion: Drive market awareness, positioning our brand as a leader across targeted sectors.

* Sales Leadership: Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, implementing a structured process to ensure consistent progress toward sales targets.

* Solutions-Oriented Approach: Ensure that customers receive tailored, high-efficiency equipment and application solutions that meet their unique power needs.

* Market Insights: Stay at the forefront of industry trends, using this knowledge to strategically position our offerings and maximise market opportunities.

* Negotiation & Profit Maximisation: Lead negotiations for complex rentals, re-hiring equipment, and services, aiming to maximise profitability.

* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to optimise revenue and efficiency across contracts.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Industry Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in sales or business development roles, preferably within Power Generation or equipment rental.

* Established Network: Proven track record of generating new business by leveraging existing relationships.

* Sales and Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated success in high-stakes negotiations and managing complex, high-value accounts.

* Leadership Capabilities: Experience in managing or mentoring sales teams and driving cohesive growth strategies.

* Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of industry trends and the ability to adapt strategies to align with market changes.

* Communication and IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong communication skills to interact with all levels of staff.
