Academics have a fantastic opportunity for you! We are looking for a Part Time Teaching Assistant to work in a number of schools across Newport. We are looking for both experienced Teaching Assistants and people looking to kick start their career in education.

Key responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant

• Support the classroom teacher by taking on small groups of children, helping them with basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Provide 1:1 support to students who need extra help.
• Help with the planning and delivery of classroom materials.

What we need from you?

• An enhanced DBS check (Essential) which is subscribed to the update service.
• Registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council)
• Two recent and professio0nal references
• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a school setting.
