Job Description We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at an SEN school in the London Borough of Bromley. This position is ideal for someone committed to making a positive impact on students with diverse and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities -
Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and other developmental and learning disabilities.

Individualized Assistance: Work closely with individual students or small groups, following tailored education plans and providing one-on-one support as needed to facilitate learning and skill-building.

Behavioral and Emotional Support: Help implement behavior management strategies, offering emotional and social support to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Monitoring and Progress Tracking: Support the assessment of student progress by observing, recording, and providing feedback to the class teacher on student development and areas needing additional support.

Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing classroom materials and resources designed to support students' individual learning needs, creating a stimulating and accessible learning environment.

Collaboration with Staff and Parents: Communicate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents or guardians to support each student's educational and personal development.
Person Specification - Experience: Proven experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs, particularly in a school setting.
- Skills: Strong understanding of SEN needs and best practices, patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Adaptability: Flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and individual student needs.
