Our client is an innovative engineering consultancy specializing in the design and development of small smart medical devices. They work with world-leading experts to bring cutting-edge medical technology to market, improving patient care and healthcare efficiency.

The company develops small, intelligent medical devices that integrate advanced mechanical, electronic, and software engineering. Their solutions are used by healthcare providers, medical professionals, and life sciences companies to enhance diagnostics, treatment, and patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will:

Hold a 1st or Upper 2nd degree in Mechanical Engineering (or an equivalent broad-based technical qualification) from a respected institution.
Have experience in product design and development, particularly using Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools and computational techniques.
Be familiar with the design of small, high-precision mechanical systems, ideally within medical devices or similarly regulated industries.
Possess knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials relevant to medical devices, including low-volume rapid prototyping and high-volume methods such as injection moulding.
Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills, developing innovative and technically sound solutions for complex mechanical challenges.
Adapt quickly in a dynamic consultancy environment, learning and applying new information efficiently.
Take ownership of technical work, collaborating with senior engineers for guidance and formal reviews.
Have the ability to lead work packages and mentor junior engineers.
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective engagement with both clients and colleagues.
Be enthusiastic, diligent, and passionate about developing smart medical technology.
Must have the right to work in the UK.

Salary / Package + OTE, Including Benefits and Perks:
