Daniel Owen Agency are currently seeking skilled and reliable PTS Steel Workers to join our team for ongoing projects in Lewisham, and the London area. As a PTS Steel Worker, you will be responsible for the installation, assembly, and maintenance of structural steel components. Your expertise in steel fabrication, welding, and working with different types of construction materials will ensure the safe and efficient completion of various structural and heavy-duty projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications to determine steel material requirements and assembly procedures.
Lay out, measure, and cut steel beams, plates, and other structural components to precise dimensions.
Assemble and erect steel structures such as beams, columns, and frames using appropriate tools, machinery, and techniques.
Operate welding equipment and machinery for steel assembly, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
Ensure the proper alignment, placement, and securing of steel components using bolts, welding, or rivets.
Perform safety checks on equipment, tools, and work areas to comply with workplace safety standards and protocols.
Follow all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other relevant safety standards.
Work closely with other construction workers, engineers, and supervisors to ensure timely project completion.
Conduct maintenance and repairs on steel structures as required.
Follow quality control procedures to ensure all steelwork meets the highest standards.About you:

Previous experience as a Steel Worker or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry.
Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification required.
Experience with steel fabrication, welding, and operating steel-cutting equipment.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and safety manuals.
Knowledge of structural steel codes and safety standards.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery used in steelwork.
Must be able to work efficiently in both team settings and independently.
