The successful Quality Manager will have full responsibility for the people, procedures and processes within the Department. Managing, motivating and engaging the Teams to meet business targets.

The role will involve:

• Lead by setting a good example- behaviour consistent with the Amazon Behaviours and Values.
• Act as an interface between the team and others in the business
• Clear delivery of key messages to the team (including explanation of any goals, plans and roles)
• Regularly reporting both to own team and upwards to their line manager
• Reputation management
• Manage recruitment with the assistance of HR
• Ensure a successful induction process for new starters
• Clearly communicate required tasks, agree deadline and monitor achievement
• Set and agree SMART objectives for individuals/team and monitor performance against these
• Manage and conduct appraisal process with all permanent team members

To be successful in this role of Quality Manager we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

• Experience in a Quality function within a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrable experience in all aspects of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 etc)
• People management experience, including performance management
• Experience of applying common Quality Management / Continuous Improvement tools (SPC, FMEA, 5S, problem solving tools etc)
