Our client, a compassionate and welcoming nursing home based in Hitchin, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Night Nurse to join their team. With the flexibility of 2 x 12-hour shifts per week, this is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about providing exceptional care in a nurturing environment. What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Nurse (RGN) qualification with a valid NMC registration.
  • Experience in a similar healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.
  • A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to care for others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the residents and the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents during the night shift.
  • Monitor and assess residents' health conditions, responding promptly to any changes.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to care plans.
  • Support residents with their personal care, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
  • Work closely with the day staff team to ensure continuity of care and a smooth handover.
  • Assist with any emergency situations in line with company protocols.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
