Morson Talent are currently recruiting for a Document Controller based in East Suffolk to provide work for our client in the Nuclear Sector.

Job Purpose / Overview

Your role will be pivotal in ensuring effective document control, following designated procedures and contributing to continuous improvement within the project.

Principal Accountabilities

Provide professional, accurate, and reliable administrative support to the Document Management Team (DMT).
Develop core document management skills on a large-scale capital program, supporting Senior and Lead Document Controllers in managing and maintaining documentation, data, and records within the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).
Manage, capture, control, store, and disseminate all relevant current and historical documentation.
Log and quality assure incoming and outgoing documents and communications, producing and issuing transmittals to provide an auditable trail for all documentation.
Support the integration of the projects document management system with broader information management needs.
Comply with approved processes and procedures.
Champion best practice in document management within the team.
Maintain a focus on continuous improvement in the teams performance, processes, and procedures.
Produce and interpret management reports on performance.
Stay abreast of the latest industry developments and best practices in the document control space.
Represent the Document Management Team in meetings.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience

Desirable Knowledge & Skills:

Document control experience in a complex stakeholder environment.
Experience working in a project environment, delivering against set objectives and milestones.
Understanding of the quality assurance process applicable to document control.
Strong awareness of effective record keeping.
Knowledge of filing systems and the purpose of distribution matrices.
Awareness of the importance of document, data, and information management in a large-scale capital project.
A good understanding of Electronic Document and Records Management Systems.
Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to influence and promote the overall role of document management on a project and the importance of successfully managing interfaces.
Qualifications & Experience:

No formal qualifications are required, but candidates should demonstrate a good standard of general education
