HSEQ Manager Job Overview:

As the HSEQ Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across a state of the art Energy from Waste facility. Your role is crucial in promoting a culture of safety and compliance, minimizing risks, and ensuring our operations adhere to regulatory requirements and best practices.

HSEQ Manager Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures.

* Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections.

* Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and industry standards.

* Lead accident and incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.

* Provide training and support to staff on health and safety matters.

* Oversee environmental management systems and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

* Monitor and report on environmental performance, implementing improvement initiatives where necessary.

* Promote sustainable practices within the organization.

* Develop and manage quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of operation.

* Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits.

* Ensure the facility complies with all relevant HSEQ regulations and standards.

* Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and best practices, advising management on necessary actions.

* Develop and deliver HSEQ training programs for employees.

* Promote awareness and engagement in HSEQ initiatives across the organization.

HSEQ Manager Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

* Relevant professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO Lead Auditor) are highly desirable.

* Proven experience in an HSEQ role within the energy from waste or a related industry.

* Strong knowledge of HSEQ legislation, standards, and best practices.

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

* Proficiency in HSEQ management systems and software.
