Clearfield Recruitment have partnered with a well-established, family-run business, with projects spanning a range of sectors.
We are currently seeking a Trainee / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic Kent-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to begin or further their career in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities of this role will include:
* Assisting in the preparation of accurate cost estimates, tenders, and contract documents.
* Supporting the management of project budgets and cost control.
* Assisting in the analysis of subcontractor quotations and procurement.
* Monitoring project progress, preparing valuations, and managing variations.
* Working collaboratively with the project teams to ensure financial and commercial success.
* Learning and applying industry-specific knowledge, with full support from our experienced team.
The ideal applicant will possess;
* Qualifications: Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Experience: We welcome applicants who are newly graduated or have at least one year of relevant experience. A background in roofing is beneficial, construction-related experience is essential.
* Skills: Excellent communication and numeracy skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team. A proactive approach to problem-solving is essential.
