We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Document Controller to join our dynamic team working on civil engineering projects, specialising in groundwork and reinforced concrete (RC) frames. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and maintaining project documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and accessibility across all phases of our projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with experience in the construction industry to contribute to complex and exciting civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Document Management: Maintain an organised and efficient document control system to track all project-related documents, drawings, and correspondence.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure that all documentation complies with company standards, industry regulations, and project requirements.
* Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely distribution and retrieval of documents.
* Version Control: Monitor and manage document revisions, ensuring the latest versions are readily accessible to the team.
* Auditing: Perform regular audits of document control systems to verify accuracy and compliance.
* Communication: Liaise with stakeholders to clarify documentation requirements and resolve issues efficiently.
* Administration: Support the team with administrative tasks related to document processing, including data entry, filing, and archiving.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience as a Document Controller in civil engineering, groundwork, or RC frame projects.
* Strong understanding of document control processes, particularly within the construction industry.
* Familiarity with project management tools and document control software such as Aconex, Viewpoint, or similar platforms.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and under pressure, meeting strict deadlines.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for civil engineering and construction projects.
* Experience in supporting large-scale infrastructure or commercial developments.
* Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modelling) processes and documentation requirements.
