Payroll Assistant Manager - Location: Central London

We are seeking a Payroll Assistant Manager with a strong background in payroll management in practice.
Day-to-day of the role: - Supervise the Payroll team, ensuring accurate and high-quality service delivery to clients.
- Review team processing and serve as the first point of contact for technical queries.
- Manage a small portfolio of client payrolls, including new client set-ups.
- Identify and implement improvements to payroll procedures and team operations.
- Conduct weekly meetings with the Payroll Manager to discuss service issues and solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with new payroll legislation and compliance, ensuring the team and client payrolls are informed and adjusted accordingly.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Minimum of 7 years of experience in Payroll.
- Good understanding of payroll legislations and compliances.
- Proficient in Excel at an intermediate level or above.
- Highly organised with experience leading a team.
- Excellent communication skills across all channels.
- Working knowledge of auto-enrolment legislations is essential.
- Ability to calculate PAYE and NIC manually is essential.
- Degree level education in finance, accounting, business, or related field is desirable.
