In this position, you will be part of our Industrial Refrigeration department, where we work with our SABROE product portfolio. The SABROE Products UK&I organisation is part of Johnson Controls’ "Global Products Industrial Refrigeration Indirect Sales Channel."

The SABROE Products UK&I team supplies innovative products and solutions to a wide customer base across all industrial segments, primarily in the industrial refrigeration sector. Our team supports and promotes the SABROE© brand and meets the needs of our customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

What you will do

As a Sales Applications Engineer in our local SABROE Products UK&I organisation, based in Walsall, West Midlands, you will play a crucial role in supporting our growth ambitions and objectives in the coming years. You will work seamlessly with the existing sales team, aftermarket sales team, and product support team, both in the UK and in Denmark, where the SABROE factory is located.

Working within an Indirect Sales Channel organisation, your customers will primarily consist of “Industrial Refrigeration” contractors and consultants across the United Kingdom and Ireland. You will handle customer enquiries through the design, quotation, and order fulfilment stages, as well as provide technical and warranty support, representing Johnson Controls with a focus on delivering excellent performance and integrity.

How you’re going to do it

  • Ensure that customer enquiries are handled quickly, efficiently, and accurately.

  • Prepare and submit accurate customer quotations, using internal equipment selection software and other tools to develop optimised solutions.

  • Progress customer orders with the factory, maintaining the agreed delivery schedule and budget.

  • Fulfill all order processes from order acknowledgment to delivery.

  • Support the business in meeting secured orders, revenue, gross margin, and EBIT commitments, compiling accurate cost analysis within prescribed margins.

  • Ensure financial reporting obligations are met on time, driving accountability and delivering accurate data, with a focus on continuous margin improvement and pull-through optimisation.

  • Keep the sales manager informed of your efforts through regular communication and reporting in our CRM tools.

  • Provide technical and product support to customers, staying updated on technical and new product information, supporting your continuous development.

  • Establish collaborative relationships across and beyond your area of responsibility to maximise business performance and share best practices.

  • Act with honesty and integrity, adhering to the highest ethical standards and compliance with all legal regulations.

  • Stay informed about market developments within the refrigeration and heat pump sector. The current energy transition is driving constant change in the market.

What we are looking for
