Role Overview: Class People are actively seeking Qualified Teachers to work supply at a wonderful Special School in Swindon. The school is an education setting for children aged 4 to 19 with severe to moderate learning difficulties with other complex needs. The role is flexible and ongoing and the school is a very warm and friendly setting with its own farm/zoo on site for the children to learn and develop new skills.
Company Overview: Class People are an independently run, family business specialising in the education sector. Class People was established over 20 years ago by our CEO who at the time was a supply teacher herself who wanted to create a better, more personalised service for client and candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach lessons, work with small groups and individual students.
- Prepare teaching materials, take registers and write reports.
- Help students develop confidence, independence and encourage them to learn.
- Manage behaviour, mark work and talk to parents and carers about their children's progress.
- Work with specialist teaching services, medical staff, counsellors and psychologists.
