Job Title: Refrigeration Engineer (Birmingham) - Field Based

Location: Birmingham

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: £43,000 + £200 out of hours payment + Overtime

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration Service Engineer to join our team. This field-based role involves working across multiple sites within the supermarket retail sector. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform reactive service and fault-finding repairs on supermarket equipment, including packs and display units.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with plant and equipment.
• Participate in the standby/shift rota (core working hours: 42.5 hours per week).
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) as required.
• Achieve agreed key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Update and complete system entries and paperwork promptly.

Requirements:

• Qualified refrigeration engineer with a C&G 2079 certificate (F Gas).
• Experience with CO2 and hydrocarbons (desirable).
• SPA Card.
• Previous experience in a retail refrigeration environment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication skills.
