New opportunity for a Technical Writer for a information technologu, engineering and science solutions provider on a 6 month contract. Fully remote, the successful candidate will require Active Security Clearance and NPPV3.
The successful candidate will be working as part of the engineering team supporting the Programme. Working with the Programme Manager and Chief Engineer to develop both internal and external documents that convey technical and programmatic information in a clear and concise manner.
Responsibilities will include working with other staff (engineering and programme management). Duties will include but not limited to:
• Convert design notes and diagrams into formal documents for internal and external stakeholders.
• Produce internal and external presentation packs based on the designs that have been created.
• Support project managers and technical leads in the production of material to support milestones and review gates.
Required Skills:
Able to execute and perform without assistance, and possessing practical experience and applied knowledge across the following areas:
* Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills.
* Written communication skills.
* Ability to clearly articulate and communicate design and technical concepts in written and verbal forms.
* Ability to produce presentation packs that are tailored for the intended audience.
* An understanding of document configuration control and change management.
* An ability to read other people's notes and diagrams and convert to a professional format meeting internal quality standards.
* Able to liaise with others to obtain details relevant to the document/presentation being created.
Desired Skills:
* An understanding of IT terminology
* Familiarity with Microsoft Visio
